Our Beginnings

Hi, I'm Cassie, founder of Moonlight Co.

Moonlight Co. began in March 2023, shortly after the birth of my second child. I was looking for something creative that was entirely my own, and with a lifelong love of candles, making them felt like a natural place to start.

What began with a little experimenting quickly turned into a genuine love for fragrance. I loved learning how different scents worked together, finding the ones that made me stop and smell them again, and creating something that could make an ordinary space feel a little different.

Over the years, Moonlight Co. has grown and evolved right alongside me. What started with candles has expanded into a curated collection of fragrance for everyday living, including candles, wax melts, car fresheners, reed diffusers, and room & linen sprays.

Today, I’m much more interested in creating a collection that feels intentional than simply making more products. Every scent and product has to earn its place. I want Moonlight Co. to feel thoughtful, elevated, and welcoming, while still having the warmth and personality that made me fall in love with fragrance in the first place.

Everything is made in small batches from my studio in Hamel, Illinois, using quality ingredients and carefully selected fragrance oils. But at the heart of Moonlight Co., the goal is still pretty simple: create fragrances that people genuinely love living with.
